New Castle Show

Disney recently got rid of its old castle show called Dream Along With Mickey. The new castle show finally premiered this week called The Royal Friendship Fare. I got a few clips and pictures from the new show. I enjoyed the new show a lot but I don’t think it’s as good as the old one. There are less princesses and no villains in this show. It’s a little more fun and a little less classic as the old show. To me it is less magical. The old show used to make me cry because it talked about following your dreams! This one doesn’t have a message it’s just for the fun which is ok too. I just prefer the old show.

Photography

When my friend came to visit she brought my big camera which I had forgotten at home. So I have started a project of taking pictures of all the parks. Today I went to Hollywood Studios and took some pictures. It is my favorite park because I love the old time classic movie feel it has. I took a bunch of pictures and I plan on taking some of the other parks as well. Be on the lookout for a post of all my favorite shots!

Animal Kingdom at Night

Amelia and I went to Animal Kingdom on our day off the other day. They have new hours now. They are open till 11pm instead of 6pm. They have a ton of new night time activities. We went and saw the Jungke Book show which was a replacement for Rivers of Light which was having some technical issues. The Jungle Book show was alright. It’s not the best Disney had done. They project images onto water similarly to how they do it in Fantasmic. This to me was very unsuccessful. And the rest of the show was just a bunch of random dancing! I wasn’t impressed. What I was impressed by was the new show that they are projecting on the tree of life. I didn’t get any pictures of it because I was so mesmerized by the show. I will try and get some good videos and pictures of it the next time I go. But it is amazing. They make it look like the tree is coming to life and the animals move. And the. It selects an animal and an animation relating to that animal is projected on the tree. It cycled through the animations randomly every 10 min. I absolutely loved it. Another one of my favorite things is riding Everest at night. It is creeping up into my list of favorite rides and doing it in pitch black defiantly moved it up my list! It was so fun! Animal Kingdom at night is one of my new favorite things!

Going to the Grand

The other day a few of my roommates and I went to the Granf Floridian for the first time. It is one of the most expensive hotels on property. It is beautiful!!!! The hotel itself is huge and the architecture is amazing. We walked around the hotel and  the got some lunch. After lunch we snuck over to look at the wedding pavilion. It’s amazing! I would love to have a wedding there!

Family Visiting

Family finally came to visit me. I had been looking forward to their visit for awhile. I made fast passes and reservations so everything would go smoothly. On the first day we went to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The second day we went to Animal Kingdom. The third day we went to Magic Kingdom and the last day we went to Disney Springs. The week was amazing we didn’t encounter any rain and we were able to do almost everything. We had both fast passes and Nessa’s disability pass so we didn’t wait in like for anything. It was great! We had some great food and made some wonderful memories. It was an amazing week 🙂

Tower of Terror backstage tour

A few weeks ago I got to do a backstage tour of another on of my favorite rides the Tower of Terror. This one was a lot different than the Haunted Mansion tou. This one went into more about the ride and how it works and is operated. We learned that the seats that you sit in are a car. The car travels alon a wire and is kept on course by magnetic fields. The car is then parked in the elevator mechanism which is what makes you drop. It is not a normal elevator where you are suspended from the top. You are actually being pulled down. Wel earned about the decor of the ride and some of the hidden artifacts that relate to the show The Twilight Zone. One of the most interesting parts of the tour was when we go to go into the hotel lobby! There are a lot of interesting artifacts in the lobby that you would think were just props but are actually antiques. For example the set of chairs that are around one of the tables in the lobby are actually from the Renaissance. An imagineer found them at an auction for really cheap and had them authenticated and found out they were originals. Similarly one of the long tables in the lobby is from the 1600s and Disney replicated the table so that they had a matching set to put in the lobby. We got to go walk through the lobby and see everything close up. I even got to sit on the couch. It was a great tour and I had a blast learning about another one of my favorite rides!
