Soarin!

The other day Soarin opened back up! It has been under refurbishment since I got here. They have added another viewing platform and changed the movie from just California to the whole world! They were showing the old video from now until June 17th when the new one comes out. I was glad I got to see it before it’s gone. Can’t wait for the new one. 

Dinner in France

It had been a really long week and I finally had a day off so I decided to treat myself. I went to Epcot with Amelia to see  the Flower and Garden Festival for one last time before it ends. Then we treated ourself to a nice meal at Chefs De France in the French Pavillion. One of my friends Stephane works there and he got to be our waiter. The food was amazing. I tried escargo for the first time and I actually liked it! Then I had duck as my main course! It was sooooo good. Then we ended with fresh mint chocolate ice team and fresh fruit that Stephane recommended! It was a really great meal. Then we ended the night by going to Magic Kingdom and watching Wishes! 

12 hour shift

Yesterday I had my first ever 12 hour shit at the Christmas store. I worked from 12:15pm-12:30am. All of the spring only CPs left and the Summer CPs are still in training so those of us who are here for both have had an increased number of hours. Right now I am working 10 days straight with 85 hours within those 10 days. I haven’t done anything but work for  the last 2 weeks. I haven’t been to the parks in so long! I only have one day off his week instead of two but I am planning on going to Epcot for the Flower and Garden festival one last time before it closes. Last night was very long. I was fine for about the first 3/4 of my shift but towards the end I was exhausted. Yesterday was my 6th day in a row working 8+ hours each day so I was already tired and standing on my feet for 12 hours was too fun. But on the bright side I get 8 hours of overtime so I will be getting a good paycheck 🙂 I’m saving up some money for when my family comes to visit in June! I’m so excited and I can’t wait to see them! 

So many Memories

I’m a little over halfway through my program and I’ve already run out of space on my bulletin board. Each thing I have up here represents something I have done or a memory I have made! So many memories in such a short amount of time. So may more to make! 🙂 

Best Birthday Ever

Sorry again for another late post. I had some issues with my phone and I had to get a new one. Lost some photos from my birthday and I finally got them back. On May 9th I turned 22. I literally had the best birthday ever. It started out with breakfast at Ohana at the Polynesian. It was a character breakfast with some of my favorite characters including Lilo,Stitch, Mickey and Pluto! It was a ton of fun. Then after breakfast some friends and I did four parks in one day! We started out at Animal kingdom. The lines were really short so I rode all my favorites including Everest, Primevil whirl and Dinosaur. Then we headed to Holkywood Studios where the likes were also short. I rode my all time favorite ride Tower of Terror as well as Rockin Rollercoaster and Star Tours. I also got to meet Kylo Ren and Olaf! Next we went to Epcot to ride Test Track and eat dinner. We then finally ended in Magic Kingdom. We rode a ton of rides including my favorites Hauned Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain. We ended the night watching Wishes and the electrical parade. I wore my happy birthday button all day and got wished happy Birthday by so many people but my favorite was when Pete from Pete’s Dragon wished me happy birthday over his microphone during the electrical parade. I was so surprised he could see my button from so hit up on his dragon. It was truly a magical day that I will never forget!

Getting caught in the rain at MK

I met Amelia at Magic Kingdom after work last week. She gave me a tour of the tunnels and we ate in the cafeteria under the castle in the tunnels. We rode soem rides and met Daisy and Minnie. On our way out we got caught in a thunderstorm. We managed to catch this cool picture of Space Mountain before the rain hit!

Good Shift at the Christmas Store

Yesterday I had a really good shift at the Christmas store. First one of the personalization artists made me a button for my birthday next week. She wrote my name on it and drew balloons. 🙂 then we had a pancake party during our break for the CPs that are leaving and I won the raffle. I got at $30 Goofy Christmas ornament personalized with the date! Then while I was Working I pin traded with a man. He had a big bag of pins. I noticed that he had a few of the Apple pins I have been collecting. I mentioned to him that I had been looking for those. The. All of a sudden he reached in the bag and handed me 3 of the ones I needed. I was so shocked and he said ” now you can finish your collection”. It was so sweet and made my day magical. Then 15 min later the man comes back with the last pin that I needed. He said that he traded with someone and got this one and wanted to make sure I completed my collection. It was the icing on top of a good day 🙂 #makingmagic

Steak and Shake Uniform

The other day I had a shift at Memories. The costume there is black pants and a white shirt with an apron. They ended up moving me to Goofy’s halfway through my shift and I had to wear a hairnet and paper hat! It made me look like a Steka and Shake employee!
