Packing Part 3

I am finally done packing. I have everything packed except for my makeup, laptop and a few other thing I think I’ll need for the rest of the week.

I’m thinking this is a reasonable amount of stuff for me…the girl with a minor hoarding problem. I wish I could bring my sewing machine and all my drawing stuff but I just don’t think I have room. I’m planning on packing a few drawing supplies in my backpack with my laptop so I can sketch of any new design ideas come to mind but I don’t think I can bring my watercolors and markers and all that! I hope that I’ll be spending most of my free times in the parks anyway! 🙂 can’t wait…6 more days till Disney!

Packing Part 2

I am feeling proud of myself. Today I tackled pacing my clothes. At first I had two big green tubs and a small green tub and I hadn’t packed underwear or bras or sweatshirts. Mon told me that I packed way to many clothes so after re packing a few times I got it down to this…

This is all my cloths, pjs, undergarments, bathing suits, sweatshirts, jackets and shoes! I had to leave a lot of things behind that I wanted to bring but I have to learn to live without 100 options for outfits.

Packing Part 1

I started packing today. I got a bunch of space bags from Walmart to put all my sheets, towels and bedding in. It was my first time using space bags and I think I got just a little too excited! 😁
I have packed everything for my bathroom, towels and all my bedding so far. Tomorrow I will tackle clothes…that will be the hardest part! But I’m limiting myself to two tubs of clothes so we’ll see how that goes.

Housing

I’ve decided to do random roommates. I am kind of nervous about this for a few reasons.

  1. We don’t get to find out who were rooming with untill check in day.
  2. It’s two people to a bedroom.
  3. What if I don’t like my roommate or worse what if they don’t like me.
  4. What if I get a crazy!

I’m hoping that I get good roommates who are neat, clean, nice and relatively normal. I always worry about meeting new people but I generally get along with most people. Random roommates shouldn’t be problem but not knowing always kind of makes you a little nervous!  I’m also hoping that doing random roommates gets me a better shot at getting the apartment that I want. I’m fine with sharing a room with someone I did it for a month when I was doing study abroad in Italy and it worked out ok. I’m just worried because some of the rooms are triple occupancy!! They have a regular bed and a bunk bed. I DO NOT want that. I love people but I need my space and knowing my luck I’d get the top bunk with no storage at all. What I’ve learned from my years of living in dorms and apartments throughout college is that the space under your bed is your best friend. I am planning on downsizing the amount of stuff I’m bringing. I’m trying to keep my hoarding problem at bay but three people in one room sharing a bathroom and a closet…I don’t think I can handle that. So crossing my fingers that I don’t get stuck with that. I put the triple occupancy rooms as my last choices so hopefully I’ll get one of my top ones!
